Thanks for all the contributions that made the LootDB a successful and useful resource for our community! March 9th, 2008 ATTENTION: It has come to our attention that the LootDB name is used cowardly by a plat seller that spams players with a chinese website named similarly to ours. LootDB has nothing to do with these people nor we have anything to do with any plat sale. Report any plat spam to SOE immediately and make the Norrath a better place. February 17th, 2008 Item effects search is now available! To search, pick the 'Effect' option in the drop down select above. Also in today's update, RoK Epic Weapons get their own page. February 8th, 2008 LootDB servers have been upgraded to keep up with the growing traffic. Minor bugfix to the item collector that corrects a rare crash for some people. February 6th, 2008 If you are running the ACT and the LootDB item collector simultaneously and getting invalid mob/zone combo errors, make sure that the ACT is not splitting the log file. Zoning while logging is disabled and then resuming it also throws the LootDB item collector out of sync and corrupts your submissions. January 27th, 2008 LootDB item collector is now clever enough to check for mob citizenship - no more submissions of vampires in the Timorous Deep. Log files with invalid mob/zone combos are now properly reported. December 14th, 2007 LootDB item collector version 1.0.16 fixes some minor bugs and improves UI and CPU utilization. Make sure you upgrade! December 12th, 2007 Recently RoK items have had incorrect zones reported due to some invalid log data. Please don't toggle logging (using the "/log" command) within EverQuest II if you plan to parse/trace your log file, as it throws the log data out of sync: if you zone while you have logging disabled, turn the logging back on, and loot something, that item gets attributed to the zone you were in before disabling the log file. November 28th, 2007 LootDB item collector has been updated to version 1.0.15. This version supports the extended log mode that also records the x, y, z location where the item drops. To enable the extended log mode, enable the following to options in EQ2: "Options -> User Interface -> Extended Chat Window Output -> Display location when a creature dies" and "Options -> User Interface -> Extended Chat Window Output -> Display location of looted items". The item collector now also shows the new items that are found in your logs. November 19th, 2007 SOE has finally fixed the issue with the raid loot not being properly credited to the mob if the loot distribution is raid leader assigned. Now the entry in your log files correctly lists the named, the chest type and the coordinates where the item has dropped. So whenever you go back to T6 / T7 raid zones, make sure to have the LootDB collector running! November 17th, 2007 RoK items are now searchable, although their respective pages are missing their stats for now and the zones list them under regular items. November 15th, 2007 It has come to our attention that in the past few days there were several accounts submitting useless data from the PvP servers. Such submissions pollute our database with the names of fallen PvP PC victims and the items they have dropped by being killed in the PvP combat. This confuses PvE players when they are looking for named mobs for a zone and wastes everyone's time. So please DO NOT run the LootDB collector if you are playing on a PvP server until a further notice is posted here. Any account that is found to be uploading PvP data is going to be disabled and their submissions deleted. We are working on getting the full named lists for the new zones, so this measure is a temporary fix. November 1st, 2007 Shard of Fear items are finally in.
